Women Basketball Prospects to Watch

Here are some prospects who stood out at the ASSIST Mid Atlantic Fall Evaluation Showcase at Hagerstown CC on Sept 18:

Deanna Waters, Senior, Dr Wise High School Md, 5 foot 10 - This girl is very skilled with a high IQ of the game. She creates mismatch problems with her ability to score on the wing or in the post . Great rebounder and defender as well . Who ever gets this girl next year getting a steal. Very hardworker.

Jeannie Wilson, Senior, Crossland High School Md, 5 foot 9 sg/sf - Jeannie just have the ability to put the ball in the basket and also can create for others. Very unselfish but still can give you 20 pts a night with high IQ of the game.

Courtney Lucas, Senior, Friendship Collegiate Academy, DC, 5 foot 10 wing - She has alot of moves in the post or off the dribble which can be a nightmare to opposing oppenents. She is swift on the court and very athletic; very agressive on the offensive end and defensively a solid on th ball defender.

Alaysia Washington, Senior Friendship Collegiaite Academy DC - Where has she been? Washingotn was one of the most suprising upcoming seniors I have seen in a long time . Great court awareness but she will score at will if you check her one on one. Just has knowledge of the game. She also can hit the open shot . Solid defender.

Kaela Nelson, Senior, Woodbridge High School VA, 6 foot pf - If you need apost who can play and defend, you need to take Kaela . Rebounds, scores, runst the floor well and plays defense. Playes here position very well.

Brittany Carlise, Junior, Clover Hill High School VA, 5 foot 6 sg - I am suprised by her maturity on the court. Just tough defensively and offensively. Takes pride in defense which helps set up offensive opportunities. Very agrresive on the boards as well.

Kiara Colston, Freshman, Springbrook High School MD, 5 foot 7 pg - I thought she was a senior; you couldn't tell by how she was balling out there. Very skilled, has knowledge of the game and knows how to score at will. She's a sleeper.

Makeda Wright, Freshman, J.F. Kennedy, 5 foot7 pg/ - Makeda is another freshman who will compete for minutes on her varsity team . This girl can flat out play; is very skilled and also can create for others. Knows how to be every where on the court . She is complete combo guard. .


Kiana Bullet, Sophomore, Martinsburgh High School VA, 5 foot 9 post player - Very skilled, hard worker in the post with an ability to get offensive and defendive rebounds at will. She knocks down jumpshot and runs the floor well.
