DC Assault’s Fundraising Event To Be a Blast

May 17, 2006 – What many AAU basketball partisans may not realize, is that the costs to equip, transport, lodge, and provide expert instruction for young people can be prohibitive. Spending to send just two or three teams of young people to a regional competition can easily approach a thousand dollars, while five digit expenses are typical when traveling to Las Vegas or The City of Angels – Los Angeles.

To offset these formidable expenses, some AAU organizations are subsidized by tennis shoe companies, while others solicit funds directly from supporting patrons. Even with those avenues of support, many times parents, family, and coaches must dig into their own coffers to advance the young people’s AAU basketball experiences.

With that backdrop in mind, DC Assault generally, and their 15 and under team specifically, is planning a fundraising event that should be memorable and enjoyable. The specs are as follows:
