Organization with impressive track record helping again. September 15, 2010 - This Saturday at Hagerstown Community College, ASSIST Student Athletes will do just that to boys and girls in the the 9th through 12th grades. The dimes they will drop have to do with exposure to college coaches. "We've placed over 800 kids in school" shared William Carter, a principal with ASSIST when asked about his organization's track record. According to him, Saturday's ASSIST Mid-Atlantic Fall Evaluation Basketball Showcase will continue the trend. The event consists of two session, girls occurring between 8a and 1p, boys 130p-630p. Each concludes with game play, but also include, per Carter, "Instruction on registering with the NCAA clearing house and education of the recruiting process". College coaches will be there. Cost if $45.00 per attendee, with pre-registration available via 804.397.3261 or wcarterasa@yahoo.com. Name, age/grade, school, position and telephone number represent the needed information. Join ASSIST's third Mid-Atlantic Fall Evaluation Basketball Showcase, all having been held at Hagerstown C.C. "We're just doing it to get kids in school" shared Carter of his organization's motivation in producing it. For the record, Carter et al have planned and implemented exposure events for six years. Maybe you or your child/mentee will be the next beneficiaries. Click here for flyer (Word Doc)
