ASSIST’s First Annual DMV Unsigned Senior Showcase is Soon!

ASSIST provides the chance to earn a college scholarship, full or partial.

March 30, 2010 – It’s the time of year in which talented, senior basketball players are scrambling for future hoops homes. That desire to secure a college home basketball home extends to those student-athletes who may be searching another university-level home.

With that in mind ASSIST, Athlete Scholastic Support Initiative Securing Success for Tomorrow, is holding its DMV Unsigned Senior Basketball Showcase. Held April 17th in front of college coaches and spearheaded by Gary Hughes, President of Startin' 5 Mentoring & Consulting Services, both boys and girls will be to use a pun, assisted.

“ASSIST is looking for overlooked boys and girls in the DMV who want a chance to play basketball on the college level anywhere in the United States” shared Hughes, who also has coached girls’ ball in P.G. County, MD, of what the Showcase’s goals are. “D.C. is the Mecca of basketball and it’s an honor for Assist Student Athletes to host a showcase here”.

Place: Richard England – Clubhouse #14 Boys /Girls Club, 4103 Benning Road, NE

Times: Girls 7:30a Boys 1:00p

Email wcarderasa@yahoo.com with participant’s name, grade, height, high school, position, student and parent telephone number, email. The deadline is April 12th.

Satisfy $30 registration fee and return to-be-provided waiver form on the 17th.
