This submission was received anonymously, and touches upon Quinn Cook and Tyler Hubbard's long time friendship.

February 1, 2010 - Tyler Hubbard and Quinn Cook grew up together in the Mitchellville area of Prince Georges County, MD. Quinn Father Ted Cook (RIP) was Tyler's Godfather and coached their first basketball team Kettering Boys and Girls club at the age of seven.

They would go to Wooten Camp together every summer in Frostburg while Ted and Brian Hubbard (Tyler’s dad) played golf at a near by resort. They both were so talented that they often were allowed to play up two age groups at camp and both earned MVP in a few of the summers sessions.

They both attended St. Jerome’s middle School in Hyattsville Maryland in the 6th grade, their team coached by Coach Brown (R.I.P) went undefeated that year. The next following summer they both were selected for the first Adidas Phenom Camp in San Diego California in which both of them made the All-Star team.

They parted ways in High School and Tyler went to Montrose and Quinn went to Dematha. They were at different powerhouse basketball programs, however they still played AAU together in summer for Curtis Malone and D.C. ASSAULT.

It is amazing that 11 years later they would meet again (tonight in Beckley, WV) with the two most powerful High school programs in the nation as Senior Captains for their teams. This should be a great game and the love they for each other will be great to witness while they go to battle in front of the world.
