April 4, 2008 – All in the Baltimore/DC corridor have come to welcome the Charm City Challenge, a national level, invitation-only all star game for seniors. Occurring this Sunday, April 6th, again at Towson University, attendees will once again be afforded the opportunity to see tomorrow’s college stars, today.

Don’t believe it? Just take a look the rosters of Division I teams in postseason play, this year alone: A full 25 teams have a Charm City Challenge alum in the program, including 14 NCAA tourney squads, 8 NIT participating teams, and three schools who played in the CBI.

This year, talent again abounds, as witnessed by the roster of both games - City All Stars vs. Suburban All Stars and Baltimore All Stars vs. United States All Stars - as future student athletes from Georgetown (Henry Sims), Maryland (Sean Mosley), Syracuse (Kris Joseph and Mookie Jones), Towson (Troy Franklin), West Virginia (Roscoe Davis), Pittsburgh (Nasir Robinson), Missouri (Kimmie English), Florida (Alan Chaney), and a host of other institutions will participate.

Corrigan Sports Enterprises has produced the event for its eight years of existience, with this being no different. Resultantly, Gene Brtalik, that organization’s Vice President of Public Relations is keenly aware of what this event has to offer: “The Charm City Challenge is a great event for the city of the Baltimore as it showcases all the wonderful basketball talent we have in the area. With the Baltimore All-Stars winning five of seven games against the U.S. All-Stars it proves that some of the country’s best basketball players come from the Charm City”.

Festivities start again Sunday the 6th, 3 pm, at Towson University’s Towson Center. Tickets can be purchased at any TicketMaster location or by calling 410.605.9381

See your there. It’s sure to be a blast.
