Last Saturday's OT thriller left many memories.
November 6, 2009 - Joining traditional coverage, please enjoy this pictorial documenting FAMU's 31-28 OT win at Morgan State. Though the decision by Morgan's coaching staff to attempt fourth and less than one in the extra period - instead of kicking a 33 yard field goal - and the reported inhebriation of a game official will be debated for years, there can be no doubt this game was exciting.
The star of the show was Curtis Pulley, supplier of 405 total yards. Wow.
Morgan's Devan James led all running backs with 133 yards.
Phillip Sylvester gallops to a first quarter TD.
Here, Sylvester tastes paydirt.
Leroy Vann, a sure fire All-American cuts back early on.
The Rattlers also used Vann in 'Wildcat' formations.
The Drum Major is an institution at Morgan, as well as other HBCUs
Morgan's band paid tribute to Michael Jackson, here performing the "Thriller" routine.
During the second half Morgan, including James (here) was able to move the ball on FAMU.
Here, James makes it into the end zone.
Pulley did his thing in the second half as well.
Morgan's game sealing fourth quarter attempt started here...
Continued here (the Bears had to reach the thick line)...
And ended here. Clearly, based on the spot, Morgan was short.
