December 21, 2008 – The 1st Annual HEHASE & E.G.O.S. X-Mas Invitational Tournament is a youth evaluation showcase for top local talent. This tournament will act as a recruiting tool for local high school coaches in order to evaluate players between the ages of 11-14 yrs old.

Founded in 1995, E.G.O.S., United Inc. is a group of former collegiate and professional athletes committed to helping young people from the inner city throughout the United States. This organization believes that participation in organized sports and contact with positive adult role models has a profound impact on young people.

The goal of this tournament is to create a platform to generate exposure for local youth basketball players and allow area high school coaches the chance to establish working relationships with parents and youth league coaches.

EVENT DATE – December 26th-28th, 2008
AGE GROUPS – 11, 12, 13, & 14 yr olds
LOCATION – Emory Recreation Ctr. / 5701 Georgia Ave., NW, Washington D.C. 20011

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE – Friday, December 26th, 2008 / Time 3pm-8pm
Saturday, December 27th, 2008 / Time 11am-4pm
CHAMPIONSHIP DAY Sunday, December 28th, 2008 / Time 10am-4pm

Tournament Highlights:

• Date – December 26-28th, 2008.

• Teams – 14 Elite Youth AAU Teams.

• Recruiting Aid – All registered coaches will receive a coach’s packet that will list team and player information.

• Evaluation Period – 3 (three) days of tournament play will allow coaches the time needed to view teams and players.

• High School Invitees – DCIAA, Independent, and WCAC programs.

• Skills Training Information – Provided by the H.E.H.A.S.E. Basketball Academy, skills training information will also be made available to coaches.
