November 14, 2008 – Sunday evening, Muhammad Hill and Clayton Mitchell are combining their considerable talents to help a cause close to their hearts – the No. 10 Police Boys and Girls Club at 14th and Clifton NW, Washington, DC (2500 14 Street). Their brainchild, which will garner much needed funds for No. 10’s programming is the 2008 Sneaker Boutique Hoops and Hip Hop Event. “We’re going to have a basketball skills competition with prizes distributed” shared Mitchell of the event, which starts at 6:30 pm Sunday evening. Mitchell, who along with Hill both share the title of Event Organizer, continued, noting “There is also going to be a mini-concert”, as several musical acts will performing, including Interscope Recording artist Wale. Aiding the duo in supporting this effort are a number of sponsors, including Nike, Metro Team Aids, two sports gear boutiques – Commonwealth and Palace Fine – along with local urban gear landmark the Madness Shop. The entry fee is $10.00, with tickets going quickly. Be sure to check out i95Ballerz.com for coverage, whether you are able to attend or not. Inquires can be directed to 202.423.8728 or 202.329.0236
