Prince George's County, MD guard chooses long time suitor.

March 13, 2009– Several days ago Lasan Kromah, a close to 6'5", 190 pound senior swingman who attends Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Greenbelt, MD), chose a school that had been recruiting him to various degrees since last summer. This institution was the first to offer him a scholarship.

Kromah decided to eschew others, picking George Washington University.

Lasan Kromah and Keith Stevens, both formerly of Triple Threat AAU (Stevens now runs Team Takeover).

"I just thought it was the best place for me" said Kromah via telephone tonight. "It's the best fit. I was the most comfortable there".

When healthy one of the best shooters in the DC area, Kromah indicated his left knee "is 100%". The injury had been nagging for months.

Nevertheless, the likes of University of Maryland Baltimore County and Jacksonville (FL) had recruited Lasan. GW assistant coach Greg Collucci was his primary Colonial recruiter.

Where does the school's head coach, Karl Hobbs plan on using Kromah next year? "I'm going to play the two (shooting guard) he revealed.

That's as they say, a good look, as Kromah is excellent in catch and shoot scenarios, can increasingly create his shot off the bounce, and will run the floor. Expect him to continue improving his handle and lateral quickness, points that will ensure his Atlantic 10 Conference success.

A former member of Triple Threat (AAU), Kromah wanted to thank his former coaches there, including Keith Stevens and Kenny Johnson, as well as "the coaches at Roosevelt", and of course my family". As is the case, it takes many to positively impact a young man, and Lasan has received much support.

Congrats go out to Kromah for his accomplishment. He'll be dropping jumpers at an Atlantic 10 gym near you this year.
