Miller, from MoCo, set to be a Crusader.

September 19, 2010 - Over a week ago, Holy Cross secured a commitment from Class of 2011 forward Taylor Abt. Add another Mid-Atlantic Select baller to their list, as 6'6" swingman Malcolm Miller committed their last week.

"That was a great experience" said Miller, who attends Gaithersburg High School, of visiting Holy Cross. "I took an unofficial not too long ago. Hanging out with the players and eating with them and the coaches was great".

Those running Holy Cross' program, including head coach Milan Brown and assistant coach Dan Engelstad, Miller's lead recruiter were central to Miller's decision. Both Brown and Engelstad came to Holy Cross this year from Holy Cross.

Being able to do some of everything - dribble, shoot, rebound, block shots - Miller anticipates being a "two (shooting guard)- three (small forward)" at Holy Cross - his role and goals at Gaithersburg this season are great. "Last year me and the team didn't do as well as we were expected" shared Miller, an intelligent young guy sporting GPAs of 3.7 unweighted, and 3.91 weighted. "There are high expectations this year, for me and the team". In terms of his specific, on court utilization, Miller opined "There is no definite role...I just do whatever I have to do to win".

He also is hyped about the opportunity to play, again, with Abt. "I enjoyed playing with him on Mid-Atlantic Select" opined Miller of suiting up again with Tayor. "I think we played well together, (we clicked) the best on the team. He's easy to connect with".

For success in college, Miller understands he must "get stronger..Perfect my ball handling, so I can feel more comfortable bringing up the ball. Really fine tune all my skills". Additionally Miller must play with more intensity on a consistent basis.

In doing so, he will be a definite benefit to the Holy Cross Crusaders.
