NHSHF 09 Preview: DeMatha is Steaming Along

DeMatha enters the Festival as a truly elite program. .

December 10, 2009 - Few would debate that DeMatha Catholic High School (MD) is one of the top programs on the East Coast, and those that dare to would not have a strong case; the Stags have vanquished early competition this season, including a 71-59 victory over Coolidge last night, continuing a long time trend of besting opponnents. It should come as no wonder, given the talent level of players - likely 8 Stags will receive Divsion I scholarships - and coaching staff, led by Mike Jones.

According to Jones, the National High School Hoops Festival will be a fixture on DeMatha's schedule: "It is one tournament that we will play in every year because it is very well run and we will get great competition. It is one of the best events that we play in".
