Prince George's Community College will host a basketball celebration.

October 9, 2010 - For the first time in history, Prince George's Community College will welcome its basketball season with a bang; the Largo, MD-based institution is hosting Midnight Madness. It's new head coach is spearheading the effort.

"The Prince George's County Community College men's basketball team will host its first ever Midnight Madness event" said Xavier Joyner last week, a veteran coach of community college ball in his inaugural season as PGCC's head man.

PGCC's modern campus will be hot Thursday night.

The celebration jumps off October 14, 7p, at the school's impressive Novak Field House. Of the hoops celebration, Joyner noted "There will be lots of fan events as well as a dunk contest and the Introduction of the Women's and Men's teams".

Why would Joyner, with all that's on his plate leading PGCC, undertake such an endeavor?

"It feels great to be a part of Prince George's Community College first ever Midnight Madness" answered Joyner, who has been active on the recruiting scene. "We have a very exciting team that the County would be proud of".

Come see for yourself.
