Event jumps off at Howard University
October 20, 2010 – Saturday morning, hoopers from various walks will mix with entertainers and newsmen for the Get Up, Get Involved, Get Healthy walk-a-thon. The cause is child obestity. In addition to the walking event, which has levels ranging between one and three miles based on participants fitness levels, a charity basketball game will occur as well, pitting D.C. area media outlets. need businesses, agencies, corporations, churches and other to come out
and participate in our walk-a-thon corporate challenge. The group that
registers the most team members will receive special recognition during
and after the event. Meet-n-greet personalities from Fox 5 news, WPGC
radio station and former NBA & NFL stars. Participate in the Gold's
Gym fitness stations or test your skills in the double dutch skills test.
