Top BCS game set for Saturday, and will be a money generator, according to Stephens.

 

 

November 1, 2011 - In college games this weekend on Saturday, November 5th, North Carolina Central travels to Delaware State and Morgan State treks to Bethune-Cookman. Savannah St. hosts Norfolk State. Florida A&M welcomes North Carolina A&T. All these games are Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tilts.

Down a level in Division II play, Virginia Union hosts Fayetteville State, while Virginia State travels to
Gardner-Webb. The first three schools are Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association schools.

In the BCS run for the money, it's LSU at Alabama live on CBS, the kickoff set for 8pm. CBS made a trade with ABC and Disney to allow them to change the time of the game from 3pm to prime time, allowing for for nationwide coverage. They are the first and seconed ranked BCS teams, respectively.

According to to Forbes and Stub Hub, tickets are priced at $353. for upper level seats, while those in the lower level are fetching $3,100 and up.

High school's game of the week saw Friendship Collegiate
defeat HD Woodson 46-6, scoring 40 unanswered points to improve their record to 8-1 on the season. Albert Reid rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns as Collegiate showed their dominance over the Warriors.

Collegiate a charter school does not participate in the DCIAA league, comprised of public schools in Washington, D.C.

In other scores Coolidge defeated Bell 35-6 to set up their battle with Dunbar, who Wilson 37-0, thereby improving to 6-3 on the season. Spingarn took out Anacostia 26-12, Roosevelt blanked Cardozo 23-0 and Ballou beat McKinley 24-18.

Montgomery County action was hot and heavy, as Churchill improved to 8-1, beating their neighborhood rival Wooten 31-14. Curtis Kamara and Lasane Keita combined for 253 yards on the ground to lead the Bulldogs to their eighth win of the season.
