August 7, 2008 - As previously reported, life has been a whirlwind for 6'8", 217 pound, senior forward Thomas Robinson, as schools from virtually every major and mid-major conference have offered scholarships in the last three months. These schools include, but are not limited to Kansas, Memphis, USC, Pitt, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Miami, UMass, Providence, Texas, Seton Hall, and VA Tech. That doesn't include the group of schools that expressed interest, of which the likes of Georgetown, Duke, and others are represented. (For coverage of the Thomas' recruitment, click here)

To be expected, Robinson has culled his list in anticipation of an stellar senior year at New Hampshire's Brewster Academy (last year, his stellar junior campaign was completed at Riverdale Baptist in Maryland, where stats of 18 points, 12 rebounds were racked up).

Thomas Robinson still remaines hotly recruited.

After completing his personal workout this evening at Jericho Academy (Landover, MD), Robinson indicated plans to officially visit three schools this fall, as well as what caused him to determine them to be institutions he wants to further investigate.

"I'm going to visit USC, Memphis, and Kansas" said a sweat drenched Robinson, having just completed a myriad of drills, including running full court before pulling up for mid-range jumpers, thereby simulating fast break/scatter court situations.

With two more full-expense paid (by the host school) visits allowed by NCAA guidelines, there is definitely more time for interested schools to continue recruiting Robinson. What attracted him to the Trojans, Tigers, and Jay Hawks may be instructive.

"They were saying something different as far as not just telling me what they think I want to hear" shared Thomas of what drew him to that trio so far. "Plus the head coaches had been talking to my mentor Dwight Redd...that makes a big difference. And I like the recent history of the programs".

That last statement is centered on the trio's recent NCAA Tournament participation, something Robinson values for both the experience and exposure.

Schools in two conferences, the Big East and ACC, definitely have an uphill battle for Thomas' services, as he revealed "I want to experience more than the Big East and ACC right now”: Hailing from Washington, DC, Robinson is well aware of life in and around the East Coast. Consequently, he wants to experience what other parts of the country have to offer.

Of the three visits planned so far, USC has the only confirmed date, September 13th's weekend, which coincides with that school's gridiron battle with Ohio State.
