Robinson is a force in the paint with a budding perimeter shooting game, the latter a point of emphasis in his development, as he will play some small forward in college. “I work out three to four days a week, two and a half to three hours each time” shared Thomas of his training regimen. “I do agility work, get in the weight room a little bit, and get up shots”.

Redd lauded his forward’s penchant for putting in the hard work necessary for success, saying “To be honest with you, he has the best work ethic of any kid I’ve worked with”.

“Mentally, he’s grown tremendously” continued Redd of Thomas’ basketball growth. “As a basketball player, he’s starting to understand the game more…He’s realizing he has endless potential”.

Robinson (33), is seen here last summer jumping ball against Philly's Reebok R.A.I.D.E.R.S. He has since become stronger physically and improved overall aggression and perimeter skills.

The two have a strong, respect-filled relationship, one in which Redd demands much of Robinson, as he does all his players. But once the basketball is done, it’s done, and then the mentoring and nurturing continues.

“He’s definitely got me stronger mentally” shared Thomas of he and Redd’s interaction. “He and Squash are responsible for what’s going on right now”.

Before making that college decision, probably in August thereby freeing his senior year in high school from recruiting pressures, Robinson will continue to develop his ball handling and a mid-range go-to-move, while also competing in a plethora of camps and tournaments: Thomas plans to attend UVA’s Elite Camp, could likely travel to Marquette for their camp, and might possibly attend similar events at Virginia Tech, Robert Morris, Minnesota and North Carolina State, while this weekend, he is scheduled to compete in the Reebok Headliner Tryout Camp at Chantilly, VA’s Hoop Magic Sports Academy. Wearing Squash All Beefs silks, the Rumble in the Bronx, Agent Zero, Harley Davidson Triple S, and Vegas’ Main Event will all be entered.

When it’s all said and done, expect even more schools to become interested in Robinson, who is presently the hottest student-athlete in DC/Baltimore. Don’t hate, congratulate. He’s earned it.
