April 2, 2008 - Okay, here they are, i95Ballerz.com’s Triple Threat Triple S Super Spring Showcase All-Star teams. As evidenced by those selected, this tournament boasted a boatload of talent.

Tourney MVP Dante Taylor (right), lines up with Erick Green, a second team selection.

Dante Taylor, Jr. (f/c) – National Christan (MVP, Tourney MVP) - 6'9" frontcourt force pounded the rims like a madman
Will Barton, So. (f) – National Christian - 6'6" wing can do many things
Malik Wayns, Jr. (g) – Team Philly – Villanova commit - one of the best point guards in the East at 6'1", and showed it
Thomas Robinson, Jr. (f) - Squash All Beef - emerging 6'8" forward can rebound, defend, and score
Mo Creek, Jr. (g) - Triple Threat - 6'3"+ guard has continued to strengthen total game, which is added to a silky smooth jumper

Malik Wayns (l., first team) and Denzel Yard (third team) once again prove Philly produces tough, talented backcourt players

 

17u Second Squad
Isaiah Phillmore, Jr. (f) - Delaware Sharpshooters - has expanded his around the rim game to include a jumper with good form
Josh Selby, So. (g) - Team Melo - relentless athlete that is better learning to make others better
Ron Giplaye, Jr. (f/g) - Delaware Sharpshooters - uber-athletic yet sleeper wing can pound the rim, rebound, and run the floor
Chris Braswell, Sr. (f/c) - Triple Threat – Georgetown commit - physical conditioning has improved, resultantly able to show skills, including passing, rebounding, defending, and shooting
Erick Green, Jr. (g) - Triple Threat - Va Tech commit - a combo who is becoming more of a point, Green can run a show and score, all in the same sequence

 

Isaiah Phillmore's (second team) game has expanded, as his jumper now has good form, from base to release.

17u Third Squad
Andrew Fitzgerald, Jr. (c) - Team Melo - lost weight has equaled to increased production and effectiveness
Micah Fraction, Jr. (g) - Team Melo - very quick and will penetrate
Denzel Yard (g), Jr. (g) - Team Philly - slick guard who is athletic and can shoot, penetrate and defend
David Diakite, Sr. (g/f) – National Christian - can pound the rims with the best, as well as shoot, pat, and defend
Josh Smith, Jr. (g/f) - Squash All Beef - all around guard that continues to labor in obsecurity.

Victor Olidipo looks to be one of the up and coming players in the DC-B'More area.

Victor Olidipo, So. (g/f) - Triple Threat (MVP) - athletic player who makes plays in all facets of the game.
Max Lenox, So. (g/f) – BRYC Tarheels - very quick first step makes him dangerous
Collin Frazer, So. (g) – BRYC Tarheels - small stature shooter can fill the twine
Ced Johnson, So. (g) - Team Melo - can shoot, drive, and being a football athlete, is tough
Raheem Thompson, So. (f/c) - Triple Threat - athletic Briton is an up and comer.

Hugh Robert could be a force this summer.

Hugh Robert, So. (g/f) - Triple Threat (MVP) - can play all the perimeter positoins
Devin Ballam, Fr. (g) - Hoop Magic - spunky guard is well conditioned and drilled
John Manning, Fr. (c) - Hoop Magic - on the radar scope of high majors already as a 6'10" young player
Ronald Williams Jr, Fr. (g) - Team Melo - speedy guard can penetrate against anyone, and increasingly hit the open shot
Cahli Thomas, Fr. (g) - Triple Threat - all around guard has poise and skills
