Saturday's Uptown Hoop Fest Rescheduled for Riverdale Baptist

Changes in venue will not dampen this event.

January 8, 2009 - After two venue changes, tomorrow's (Jan. 9th) Uptown Hoop Fest has been moved to Riverdale Baptist School in Upper Marlboro, MD. Regardless of the gym, great hoops is on tap.

Starting at 12pm, the following games comprise the Hoop Fest, promoted by More Than Just Basketball. Click here for game previews:

12 pm (girls) Riverdale Baptist (MD) vs Stonewall Jackson (VA)

1:40pm Calvin Coolidge (DC) vs Riverdale Baptist (MD)

3:20pm National Christian (MD) vs Miller School (VA)

5pm Cesar Chavez (DC) vs Blueridge School (VA)

6:40pm KIMA School (DC) vs Montrose Christian (MD)

8:20pm Friendship Collegiate (DC) vs Progressive Christian (MD)

Not only are players being courted by top college programs participating, but those headed next year to the likes of Maryland, North Carolina A&T, Virginia, DePaul, George Mason, Duke, Memphis and others will also suit up.

Cost is $10.00, $5.00 for students with student. I.D.

No matter the venue, the Uptown Hoop Fest provides hoops followers bang for the buck.
