Weber’s Fall Hoop Classic an End-of-Season Must

September 21, 2006 – College basketball recruiting fans in the Washington, DC area will be provided their final opportunity of the year to attend an AAU/travel circuit-related event, this weekend. The source you ask? Charlie Weber’s Fall Hoop Classic.

Starting Friday, September 22 and extending through Sunday, September 25, District Heights, Maryland’s Capital Sports Complex will be the site of 15, 16, and 17-under boy’s basketball competition. Teams from as far north as Boston, and south as North Carolina - with D.C., Baltimore, New York, Jersey, Philly, and Richmond represented in between - will compete in front of a large number of NCAA Division II and III coaches (Division I coaches are prohibited from attending, per recruiting rules).

Additionally, an extensive collection of hoops and recruiting media, ranging from i95Ballerz.com to Scout.com (Dave Telep) to High School Basketball Insider (Tom Konchalski), amongst others, will be present.

Charlie Weber, pictured here, has accumulated many skills and much experience during the 16 years he has promoted basketball tournaments. As such, expect the Fall Hoop Classic to be run smoothly and competently.

The event’s director, Charlie Weber, a 16 year veteran of planning, hosting, and managing these tournaments, thinks the Fall Hoop Classic is a competition recuitniks, family, and coaches of all types should not pass up. “It’s an opportunity for the fans, college coaches, and scouts to check out some of the best players in the area” and beyond, he said.

Friday’s action starts at 8:00pm, while Saturday’s games begin promptly at 9:20am. Sunday’s starting time will be announced later.
